Join us at 10:00 a.m. (following our worship service), for our Sunday Morning Line upon line Bible Study with Pastor John through the Book of Acts. The Book of Acts demonstrates the power of the Gospel Message in Motion. The apostles and disciples of Christ established the foundation of the Christian Church through the leading and empowering of the Holy Spirit. The Christian church was founded upon and centered in the finished work of Jesus Christ upon the cross of Calvary for the remission of the sins of everyone who would choose to place their trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.

Studying through First and Second Kings is very different than our study through the book of Acts. In Acts, God’s kingdom is surging forward. In Kings, it often seems languishing. But precisely for that reason, 1 and 2 Kings can make a unique contribution to our understanding of reformation and revival among the people of God.
By studying these passages, we see what it looks like when God brings about a revival of true religion after decades and even centuries of decadence. One thinks especially of Jehoash’s repairing of the temple, and Josiah’s reforms. These books were very important to the Protestant Reformers!

It is our hope at Calvary Taos that as the youth experience the benefits of fellowshipping with other Christian youth they will be drawn to this type of healthy, positive, and encouraging fellowship as they continue into their teen years. The development of a friendship with other Christian youth will benefit our youth, in many cases, throughout their lifetime.
