I John 1:5-7 Christian Fellowship

“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”   I John 1:7

True Christian fellowship is centered in what Jesus Christ has done for us, in us and through us. We share in the same hope for our future beyond the veil of death, which is anchored in Christ Jesus. The person of Jesus is the basis for our fellowship with one another. He is the common denominator that draws such a wildly diverse group of people together in harmony and fellowship.

As we desire by the Spirit of God to walk as He walked, to remain in the light (the things of God) and abstain from darkness (the things of the world), we share in a common goal. To be more like Christ today than yesterday is the goal of every true believer.

I pray for all of us this morning, that we (all believers), would keep our distance from all forms of darkness, and remain in the light of the Lord Jesus. Help us Lord to encourage one another in our love and obedience to You. Let us share Your word with one another and do good to one another for Your glory and honor.

Let us come together regularly in order to stir up love and good works towards one another.
